On 28 August 2026, the Court of Appeal published its costs judgment in relation to the appeal of Huang v Body Corporate for the Dorchester CTS 10749 [2026] QCA 147. The link can be found here. 

Jason Dudley appeared for the successful respondent body corporate in the appeal.

Leave was granted for the parties to subsequently make submissions concerning the costs of the appeal. The appellant argued that there should be no order as to costs, or alternatively an apportionment of costs. This argument was rejected. 

The Court ordered the appellant to pay the respondent’s costs of the appeal.
